Tinsel Trimmed Tree

I may have gone a little over the top trimming the tree on today's card...the tree is a Marianne Designs die cut...and it's smothered with tinsel from Papermania and some adhesive gems. The sentiment is one of my favourites....it's from the 'Bubble Tree' set by Woodware.

Oldie but a Goodie - Let It Snow

It's time for a new challenge over at Oldie but a Goodie, and the theme is:

'Let It Snow!'

Our sponsor for this challenge is Iva Nova Chest

I've used an adorable Lili of the Valley stamp on my card called 'Igloo for Two'...which I coloured using watercolour pencils. I decided to make a white on white card...not done one in a while...and used a couple of 'Snowflake' embossing folders (Cuttlebug & Sizzix) for the background. I glittered around the edges of everything using Glamour Dust, then added some glittered snowflakes (cut using Marianne Designs and Cuttlebug dies).

Pile It On! Challenge - Anything but Christmas

This week at Pile It On! our challenge theme is:

'Anything but Christmas'

We are sponsored for this challenge by Flonzcraft

I've made a couple of simple thank you cards, using up some scraps of BasicGrey papers (from the 'Sugared' and 'Marjolaine' pads). I inked the edges using 'Old Paper' Distress Ink, then added faux stitching using my CutterBee Bug and a black gel pen, then matted the strips on to a piece of white card...edges also inked with 'Old Paper'...before stamping a sentiment (from the 'Sending Sunshine' set by Simon Says Stamp), and adding some co-ordinating twine (by Dovecraft) and a few adhesive pearls.

Black & White Christmas

Another Christmas card for you today...and not my usual colours or 'cute' style. I used stamps from the 'A Bright Tomorrow' set by Penny Black, heat embossing them in 'Black Sparkle' embossing powder. I kept the card really simple, just matting the panel on to black card, and adding a few adhesive pearls.

Here's a close-up shoowing the sparkle:

'W is for Wrap It Up!'
(We want to see gift bags, boxes and wrapping paper)

We have two fabulous sponsors for this challenge:

I alwaya wrap all of my presents in brown paper...and just use ribbons to 'pretty' them up...but to make this a little bit more special, I've watermark stamped some snowflakes all over it (snowflake stamps are by Papermania). I used a digi stamp from the Stamping Boutique called 'Holly Berry' to decorate a tag to go with it...printing it out on a couple of scraps of patterned paper (from the 'Believe' & 'Countdown to Christmas' pads by My Mind's Eye)...the sentiment stamp is by Paper Make-Up. I used some plain brown string to tie up the parcel, then attaced the tag using some bright red seambinding ribbon from the Ribbon Girls.

Blooming Meadows

Now....if you visited my blog earlier in the week, you may be thinking that these cards look a little familiar...you haven't seen them before, but they are very similar to a couple I made this week using a different Hero Arts flower stamp. I realised that I needed to make some more 'girly' birthday cards...and as the other ones were so quick to make, I thought I'd make some more, this time using my 'Blooming Meadows' stamp...and a different sentiment (this one's from the 'Wonderful' set by Penny Black)...for a little variation, I made it in three colourways:

Pink ('Worn Lipstick', 'Victorian Velvet' & Forest Moss' Distress Inks):

Blue ('Stormy Sky', Faded Jeans' & 'Forest Moss' Distress Inks):

Purple ('Milled Lavender', 'Dusty Concord' & 'Forest Moss' Distress Inks)
